Medieval Madness is Grove of the Rising Phoenix's Annual Festival.

This year we have decided to make this a Divination Weekend, where we offer presentations on different types of divination.

Price: $55 includes 2 nights of camping plus admission to the Renaissance Festival
Price $40 with out admission to the Renaissance Festival
Price: $30 for children 12-5 children under 5 free

Friday:

9:00am Scrying~ Using the black mirror
10:00am  Znaki~ Polish for Signs, is a divination system based on the symbolism of Ukranian Easter Eggs. This workshop will go through the history of these beautiful Eggs to its pagan origins, the meanings of the symbols used and other ways to use these symbols. After the introduction there will be a time to practice making your own znaki or even other magical workings.
11:00am I Ching~ Or Book of Changes. The book is structured as 32 pairs of hexagrams, divided in half after the first 30.  The text was a subject for civil service exams in Imperial China. To aid in learning these 64 hexagrams, an 8x8 matrix of the 64 hexagrams in terms of all the hexagrams having the same top three lines, called a trigram. Throughout China's region of cultural influence (including Korea, Japan and Vietnam), scholars have added comments and interpretation to this work, one of the most important in ancient Chinese culture; it has also attracted the interest of many thinkers in the West.

2:30pm Virtues Disks~ Divination based on the Nine Virtues of ADF (Wisdom, Piety, Vision, Courage, Integrity, Perseverance, Hospitality, Moderation and Fertility)
6:30pm Dinner
8:00pm Bardic Circle/Auction~ Think open mic night, one of a kind items to be auctioned off between performances. Feel free to bring your music instruments, singing voice, poetry, comedy routines, jokes AND wallets!

Sunday:
8:00-10:00 Breakfast/Break camp
10:30 am Closing Ritual
11:00pm Renaissance Festival Invasion

Food/beverages to share for potluck on Friday
Food/beverages for yourself (Friday is the official potluck)
Offerings for ritual (if you so choose)
~Wood for the drumming/bardic circle/auction~
Charcoal for grills if you will be grilling
Dogs are allowed on leashes no longer than 6 feet & you must pick up the feces
Musical instruments/drums/poems etc for bardic circle
Money for the Auction
Sun screen/hat/sunglasses
Ren Faire garb for Sunday
Tent/sleeping bag/pillows/camp chairs etc
Note book/ pen

Camp dishes recommended though we will have paper plates/cups
